FOTO PARA LA HISTORIA, Encuentro Internacional en defensa del patrimonio del Camino de Santiago. Pocas veces habrá lugar a fotos como esta con tanta gente que ha entregado su vida al servicio del Camino.
Hospitaleros míticos que han dado, y siguen dando, los mejor de sí para los peregrinos. Todos nosotros tenemos una enorme deuda con ellos, representan lo mejor y lo más entregado del Camino: cuando casi todos cierran ellos están ahí, cuando no había casi nada muchos de ellos estaban ahí. Y cuando se les necesita siempre están. En Grado hubo acuerdo unánime: la hospitalidad tradicional de mano tendida no puede desaparecer, forma parte del alma del Camino. Por eso se ha solicitado que la hospitalidad tradicional del Camino de Santiago sea considera como Patrimonio Inmaterial del Camino y la peregrinación.

Seldom will there be a place like this with so many people who have given their lives to the service of the Way. Mythical hosts who have given, and continue to give, the best of themselves for the pilgrims. All of us have a huge debt to them, they represent the best and the most delivered of the Way: when almost all close they are there, when there was almost nothing many of them were there. And when they are needed they always are. In Grado there was unanimous agreement: the traditional hospitality of the outstretched hand can not disappear, it is part of the soul of the Way. That is why it has been requested that the traditional hospitality of the Camino de Santiago be considered as Intangible Heritage of the Way and the pilgrimage.
